The public record of who advertises in ChatGPT
European ChatGPT Ad Library
ChatGPT shows sponsored ads below its answers, but OpenAI publishes no ad library. Google has one. Meta has one. ChatGPT does not. So we are building it, together with marketers across Europe: a public, searchable record of the ads real users are shown, collected with consent through the free PromptAds browser extension.
Why there is no official ad library
Advertisers in ChatGPT see their own campaign statistics and nothing else. There is no auction insight, no competitor view and no public register of who runs which ads. That asymmetry shapes the whole channel.
Advertisers fly blind
Buyers cannot verify
The public cannot look in
What the library records
One entry per observed ad. The library contains the ad, and only the ad.

Live from the library
The latest sponsored placements contributed by PromptAds users, shown as they come in. Entries are deduplicated and reviewed for the permanent register; this feed shows raw observations.

How the data is collected
Every entry comes from a real person who chose to contribute. No scraping farms, no synthetic accounts.
- Marketers install PromptAds, our free Chrome extension, which keeps a private, local log of the sponsored ads ChatGPT shows them.
- Contributing to the library is strictly opt-in and off by default. A consent screen shows exactly what is shared before anything leaves the browser.
- Contributions contain the ad only: never prompts, conversations, titles or identity. Our server derives a coarse country and does not store IP addresses.
- Entries are deduplicated and reviewed before publication; a random installation identifier protects the library against fabricated records.

Where the library stands
Last updated: 21 August 2026
The European rollout is now official: on 19 August 2026, OpenAI announced the expansion of ChatGPT Ads to 31 European markets, including the Netherlands, with ads reaching users of the Free and Go plans from the week of 24 August 2026. The library opens together with that rollout, so the first European ChatGPT ads ever shown will be documented here from day one. Until then, we publish what our own monitoring across launched markets shows in Weekly Insights. Founder Arjan ter Huurne discussed the European rollout in De Telegraaf on 19 August 2026.
Does ChatGPT have an ad library?
No. OpenAI does not publish an ad library or transparency center for ChatGPT Ads. Advertisers only see their own campaign data. This independent library exists to fill that gap: a public record of sponsored ads observed by real users, collected with consent via the PromptAds extension.
How can I see which ads run in ChatGPT?
Two ways: install PromptAds and build your own log of the ads your account is shown, or browse this library for the ads contributed by others. Commercial tools such as Adthena, Similarweb and Writesonic also track ChatGPT ads at market level.
Who advertises in ChatGPT today?
In launched markets, thousands of brands already run ChatGPT ads, from global consumer electronics brands to B2B software vendors. In our own category monitoring we counted more than 165 advertisers in a single B2B market in 90 days. European entries appear here as the rollout reaches European users.
Where does the data come from?
From real ChatGPT users who installed the free PromptAds extension and explicitly opted in to contribute. The extension records the sponsored ad unit only, never conversations, and contributions are anonymised before they reach the library.
Is this GDPR-proof?
The library is built privacy-first: contributions are opt-in with recorded consent, contain no personal data, and our server does not store IP addresses. Ad creatives are published for transparency purposes, comparable to the ad libraries operated by other major platforms.
Can my agency use this data?
Yes. Browse it freely, cite it with attribution to PromptMarketing, and use PromptAds' CSV export for client work. If you want structured monitoring of your own category across AI platforms, that is exactly what our AI Visibility service does.
Know the ad layer before you pay for it
We plan, launch and manage ChatGPT Ads campaigns built on prompt-level intelligence: which conversations matter in your category, who advertises there already, and when organic visibility beats paid placement.
